Ithaca is a small town located in the Finger Lakes region of New York State; it attracts different types of visitors. The city is known for its 150 waterfalls and its wonderful forests.

The city of Ithaca hosts an impressive number of events, activities and exhibitions, including the city’s many festivals that flood the spacious hall that sometimes spreads out in the adjacent streets.

Each season offers exciting entertainment possibilities. You can attend a film at Cinemapolis, a distinctive and independent cinema; or attend a performance at the magnificently renovated and historic State Theatre.

For nature lovers and waterfall enthusiasts, you will be delighted to visit this small town and discover its natural wonders. Come at any season and visit this place and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. In summer, you can hike and swim around the gorges, go boating and paddle boarding in Lake Cayuga, or visit the Farmers Market, which offers fresh produce, delicious pastries, local vegetables and fruit, unique works of art and jewellery, local cider and wine and even hand-colored hammocks. In winter, one of the best things to do in Ithaca is to skate at Lynah Rink on the Cornell University campus! Go with friends or family, walk around with hot chocolate, and have fun in public rinks.

If you are interested in culture and art, Ithaca also houses museums, namely the Earth Museum, which is a paleontological research institute founded in 1932, offering exceptional research programs, collections, publications and public education and the Herbert F. Johnson Art Museum where you can see some very beautiful views of the region.
