The Apollo Theater is the most famous theatre in all of Harlem and northern Manhattan, New York City.
Several great artists have performed on the Apollo Theater stage such as Michael Jackson, James Brown and Aretha Franklin.
An event that should not be missed under any circumstances is the “Amateurs Night” every Wednesday evening at 7:30 pm.
The competition is divided into two parts:
- The first part is devoted to the “stars of tomorrow” of young artists aged between 5 and 15 years old.
- The second part is devoted to those over 15 years old.
After the demonstration of talent, it is the audience that votes by shouting or booing the candidate, the candidate who has reached the highest number of decibels following the public shouts will be the famous winner.
