Water activities are abundant on the city’s many lakes and rivers, including Seneca Lake, Cayuta Lake, Waneta Lake and Lamoka Lake, where you can sail, canoe, swim, fish, etc. Catharine Creek has one of the best salmon runs in the area each spring. In addition, the city is just 30 minutes by car from other regional attractions and the picturesque villages of the Finger Lakes as well as many waterfalls such as Montour Falls which you will find along the road just south of Walkins Glen.
