The El Camino Real de los Tejas National Historic Trail, designated by Congress, was created to link a series of missions and posts between Mexico and Los Adaes.
The trail was the only major overland route linking the Rio Grande to the Red River Valley in Louisiana during the Spanish colonial period of 1690-1821. It is a real journey through 300 years of history;
El Camino Real de los Tejas has several programs that will help identify, protect and develop the trail.
You will find articles and lots of things on site to teach you more about these buildings.
